Employee Highlight: Cher

Today at Oppna Digital we’re taking a look into our favorite celebrity...er our favorite Chief Experience Officer! Cher!

Where are you from? I am originally from South Dakota.  I moved to the Twin Cities about 20 years ago.

What do you specialize in at Oppna Digital? At EID, I lead the development, design, implementation and support teams as the Chief Experience Officer.  This means my team and I deliver what our sales team agreed to with our clients.  I love what I do because each day is like a puzzle, fitting things together and ensuring we collaborate, communicate and deliver an awesome product.

What are your prior experiences? I have been in leadership roles at large enterprises including Target and Bank of America. Just prior to coming to EID, I spent 13 years at Capella University where I led development teams supporting several different business units, ranging from Marketing to Finance and HR.  I’ve held a variety of roles before leading teams, including being a technical project manager and an IT business analyst.

What do you like to do?  I enjoy spending time with my family and making sure all four of my boys (that count includes my husband!) are taken care of.  As a mom of three, I enjoy taking to the sideline to watch my boys play soccer, lacrosse or whatever it may be the season for.  I also enjoy the occasional shopping trip (which does not include grocery shopping) as well as traveling, overseas especially.
